83 days.....
I rested well today! :)
I also went to a birthday party (for a friend of the girls') and ate WAY too much.
The mom was so nice and even had her brother pick up gluten free cookies for me in Portland!
How could I not eat one!
Or more than one or two or.......
I also started Romans.
No Romans doesn't come after Mark.
I'm following a different plan.
Goals for tomorrow:
Survive a first grade field trip to the zoo!

84 days.....
Ran 2 miles on the hills this morning.

The hills are soooo hard.
Makes me realize how much I need to run on hills or incline.
Flat is good for my mind, not good for my body.
Tried out my new friend on my wrist.
Loved it!
I had set parameters though to beep if I was under 9min/mile or over 11min/mile.
Way annoying.
The whole downhill it just keep beeping!
Of course then I had to come up!
It beeped again.
But thankfully not as much as when I was going down :)
I loved just knowing exactly how much more I had to do.
Kind of like being on the treadmill - only outside.

85 days....
Walked my 2 miles this morning.
I LOVE walking.
I get to think while I walk.
Not just "inhale/exhale" either.
Really think!
Didn't read Mark - I still may do it.
I was enjoying my walk so much I got home later than I thought I would and it took up my "reading my bible before kids wake up" time.
The man in Brown brought my Garmin today.
Looking forward to using it in the morning.

Finish Mark

86 days
So yesterday was a failure.
I started by eating the chocolate cake for breakfast, and snacked on it a bite at a time throughout the day. Maybe that just set the tone :)
The night got later and later. And then the point came where I just new I was not going to get out on that treadmill.
So, I went to bed and got up just before 6 this morning and got out there - to run that 3 miles. Something about my body doesn't like to run in the morning. Or is it all mental? Probably. I made it to 1.5 and quit. That's right. Quit. Just 3 days before I ran 5 miles and now I couldn't even push myself another 1.5. Mental I tell ya.
So where did that leave me? If I wasn't going to repeat last week, I had to do that 3 miles! Steve was supportive tonight as the night got later. The girls were dirty from playing outside. They needed showers I wasn't planning on. Mentally I was spiraling down. Then he offered to put them to bed and I got out on that treadmill.

It was still hard. I still wanted to quit. I didn't quit.
I think I'm running too fast for me. The problem is I hate the treadmill so much that I push myself as hard as I can just so I can get off it.

87 Days
How I did yesterday?
Water - check......easy
Stretch and arms? NO - so sad. This morning I was stiff and did stretch
Salad - check......easy
Chocolate chips - check....easy because I made chocolate cake :)
Read New Testament - check By Friday I will end Mark
Why the chocolate chips? I'm not trying to lose weight. Of course I wouldn't mind if a few inches got lost, but that's not the point of the limited chocolate chips. I used to eat 4/day. 2 after lunch, 2 after dinner. However, lately they've been an emotional addiction. Whenever my life isn't "just right" I run to the chocolate chip jar. And I don't just take 1. I want to run to the Lord. Not the jar :)
Goals for today:
Run 3 miles in under 29 minutes
No more than 6 chocolate chips ( I have already had cake for breakfast :)
Continue with good water
Salad for lunch - again, this isn't about losing weight. I might also have a few chips with it. It's about eating more veggies!
Read Mark - already done

88 Days
How I did yesterday?
Run 5 miles? Check! We did walk a tad at mile 4 but I'm ok with that. It was hard. Seemed much harder than 4.6 miles last week. My knees are starting to hurt.
Eat salad for lunch? Check! And I enjoyed it
Drink 2 quarts of water? Check! I really had no idea how much water I drink in a day, but 2 quarts was easy.
Eat no more than 8 chocolate chips? Check! I ate 6
Overall: Felt good about myself yesterday
Goals for today:
Stretch legs and lift arms
Eat salad for lunch
Drink 2+ quarts of water
No more than 8 chocolate chips
Read 2-3 chapters of New Testament......already done :)
